I know it is trying to be emotionally resonate and the flute is pretty but...#It really does have the energy of “Okay thanks for listening to my tragedies and traumas. I don't know how to segue out of this.”#This madam lan design is inspired by Qourmet's design! Really good stuff that I was not able to do more with in this one panel.#Speaking of...I know it is ambiguous on purpose and we are only told what happened through LXC's POV but...#I always interpreted madam lan's passing as a suicide. I think LXC was told it was illness to soften the blow.#She was stuck in a house with maybe a servant coming by to give her food. One day a month she saw her children.#Of course she was warm and loving in their memories-#She was trying to give them a version of her that would be remembered as such. She wanted to protect them from the truth.#She did her best but she was already dead a long time ago. She must have felt like a ghost haunting a house.#Love to her was waiting. And both her boys inherited that view of love.

I think it says something that Jimmy absolutely destroyed the crew and ship in half the time Curly was captain. Like he couldn’t even get them past 2 full months before breaking down.

Like he really couldn’t be half the man he thought Curly was.

#like I think it’s crazy cause the whole trip from when we start the game is like 6 months #they are only six months into the trip post crash it’s why getting help was so futile #they had to survive another 6-7 with almost no resources sense most actual food resources where blocked off or destroyed #I see people saying they were surviving for six months after the crash or at least five but it’s only two #they were on the ship for 4 months before hand like the time frames we play are extremely small in retrospect #it’s like what 187 days when we get into the game? that’s about 6 months total #like I’m sorry this is also about peop saying Anya was liek 5 months pregnant but I think a big point is the assault just happened and Curly #didn’t react to it correct initially cause like have you seen someone whose 5 months pregnant? Way back during the Splatoon 1 days I remember seeing fanart on here depicting a head canon someone had about "kraken sickness" that inklings would get if they used kraken often enough with the art showing inklings having scars and disfigurements such as hyper grown tentacles as a result and I cannot for the life of me find it anymore so I was wondering if you'd seen it back in the day because I thought it was a really cool concept

i wasnt really that involved in the splatoon fandom during the s1 days so it doesnt sound familiar...posting in case someone happens to know. the closest i can think of is dogtoling's kraken post from 2020. he has other posts on his blog that talk about krakening and kraken syndrome, like this one about health conditions.

i like to think about mond trio playing tcg together because:

jean's deck is her, barbara, and kaeya. so cute. so colour-coordinated. so not-meta. it would make some sense to have two healers if she was playing a fontaine hp change meta but she's not. she just picked her favourite people and said "we ball" and tbh i respect it

10/10 for vibes

kaeya's deck is significantly more meta. he has benny for heals and mona for quickswap so he can leverage his burst. he and bennett share normal attack patterns and mona has a voice line about him so you could argue he knows both of them at least reasonably well

he and razor canonically know each other but xiangling?????? diluc why is there a random chef in your deck. this lineup doesn't even make sense with the meta either - overload is fine but having two main dpses and one summons dps with no healer is wild

They *all* get a chance to be featured.#Cooperation was the real end goal! However I do think these two have the best frontman energy of the group.#Or at least 'crowd favourite' energy. I also really loved hearing what people thought their vocal styles would be like!#This was probably one of my favourite polls to do and I love drawing these characters a lot B*)#I'd love to spend a bit more time in this AU so count on me bringing it back.#One thing I keep feeling like I need to redeem myself on is Madam Lan's Translucent skirt. #fanart #sketch #my art #bnha #shigaraki tomura #tenko shimura #kurogiri #I cried a bit while playing it I missed the classic LoV I missed Kurogiri WITH the LoV it's been so long :(#and it feels like last chapter (423 atm) broke the seal of sketching them as anything but something static #it took me two or so days to just understand that Kurogiri is... yeah #I can't believe it took Horikoshi so long to bring him back but as I said and will say it again I glad it happened at all #after some thought I just want to sit with the chapters #anyway getting the preordered book was so much fun #it was full of LoV from Toga and Dabi talking about her house to Tenko being upset over being told that he doesn't have friends #and everything in-between basically only Compress left to join in the next volume #I think????#I actually want to get another one already they're so goodddd #and the translation sounds pretty good but I checked some pages not the whole book it'll be boring #it's actually so weird to think that I started a goal of reading the whole series ad it was now officially coming out like this back in 201 #and now it's 2024 and the translation is pretty much ahead of anime and maybe it'll be faster than viz volumes too #since it's 2 in 1 basically - I think it's really great since I save some money but get LoV chapters every time #because they appear every 2 books at the start of the series and back then it was hard for me to get them #but I felt content seeing all the books that I bought when I was visiting family for holidays this month because there are so many of them #and I don't need any wi-fi or internet in general to read them back to back now with an addictional volume #they have some mistakes but I don't mind them it feels good to just hold all of them (and a bit heavy after like 8 books) and now it's 18

While I’m talking, Cloud almost killing Tifa in Gongaga is not just a ‘would that be fucked up or what’ moment or even because Tifa has the true memories/proof to counter Sephiroth’s lies (though, that is part of it). It’s also because killing Tifa is the antithesis of who Cloud is. It’s the antithesis of the little boy who put his life on the line to save her and then dedicated his life to becoming strong enough to protect her. The antithesis of his promise to be there for her and the feelings behind it. “Cloud” and “Tifa’s killer” cannot coexist. “Cloud,” the boy defined by a desire to protect Tifa, cannot survive this. That’s why Sephiroth is trying so hard to get Cloud to kill Tifa. Sephiroth could kill her himself and that would still be majorly bad for Cloud’s true identity as he’d still lose his only tether to reality and the symbol of his conscience. But it wouldn’t be as effective as having Cloud do the honors. Sephiroth needs Cloud to kill the light in his own heart. He needs Cloud to kill his self. And there is no more definitive way than this.

#aughhhhhh #final fantasy #final fantasy 7 rebirth #cloti #idk how anyone who played this game walked away from this scene normal. this scene grabbed me by the throat and still hasn’t let go #i have been metaphorically staring at the ceiling for two months #this is only like a sliver of what makes it so crazy too #when you get into how this scene calls back to when cloud is a child and first expresses that desire to become strong like sephiroth #after he is too weak to save tifa from falling off that bridge #and how we see exactly what becoming strong like Sephiroth means #how it’s the path to self-destruction and what that looks like #the death of cloud’s conscience and cloud’s true self - symbolized by and intrinsically connected to tifa #and how it’s not just rage. it’s fear. there’s so much fear and self-hatred driving cloud here #sephiroth’s manipulation is effective because he’s preying on these fears and insecurities that cloud already has #and then the parallels to the start of remake #if i speak……..
